Born in New York City, Connelly is a full-time artist who lives and works in San Francisco at the Islais Creek Studios. At the turn of the millennium, she traded in pinstripes for painter’s overalls and went to art school. Her studies included 2-D & 3-D design, figure drawing, life sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, pastel & oil painting.
Her work has been shown at galleries, museums, and well-regarded institutions in the Bay Area, Florida, and Colorado, including the George Krevsky Gallery, the Studio Gallery, the Mill Valley Arts Commission; the Cornell Museum of Art and the Longmont Museum.
Ms. Connelly completed the 2 year Museum Drawing course by City College of San Francisco at deYoung & Legion of Honor museums, has an Associate Arts degree from the College of Marin, a Masters in Education degree from Harvard University, a 4 year performance degree in classical piano from the Longy School of Music (Cambridge, MA), and studied piano at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, Austria.
